Authentication Server
The Emue Authentication Server is deployed on a Microsoft Windows platform within a customer’s technology infrastructure behind web and application servers, usually parallel to the user directory or database.
Emue’s solution communicates with relational databases such as MS SQL and/or an LDAP directory such as Microsoft’s Active Directory to exchange and store specific cryptographic information.
The solution supports load balancing and can be clustered.
HTML login pages are created by the host within their web tier and all Emue functionality is delivered to the application layer through web services.
Integration
The Emue solution provides enhanced security capabilities for key payment process such as online retail purchases, POS and ATM, without the need for changes to the underlying infrastructure.
Algorithm
Designed by the National Security Agency and published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the US Federal Information Processing Standard’s Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA)-256 is used as the building block for the multiple capabilities and features of the Emue solution.
Of 400 consumers surveyed by TNS Global, 45% said they’d open a new account to get an EMUE Card and 65% would recommend it to their family and friends. To find out more about the EMUE card watch the following video:
